Let’s talk about where you spend your time each week.
Number one? Your home. Fair enough. You sleep there. You eat there. You ugly-cry to reality TV there. It’s your sanctuary, your chaos, your everything. We get it — home wins. Number two? Work. Or as most of us call it, “the place I go so I can afford the place I go home to.” You spend a *lot* of hours there — answering emails, sitting in meetings that could’ve been emails, and pretending to look busy while actually Googling “why is my eye twitching.” Work is a big deal. We respect it. For some work has happily been replaced with retirement. And number three? Well, that’s where things get interesting.
We want Aspire Personal Training for Women to be your number three
Not number one — we’re not trying to replace your house. Not number two — we know your mortgage and gym membership doesn’t pay itself. But number three? That sweet spot between “responsibilities” and “things I actually enjoy”? That’s *our* spot. We’re planting a flag right there and decorating it with dumbbells.
Here’s the thing: most people’s number three is… fine. It’s scrolling through social media for 47 minutes before realizing it’s somehow been two hours. It’s sitting in a drive-thru. It’s wandering through Target because you needed one thing and now you’re holding a throw pillow, a seasonal candle, and a waffle maker you’ll use once.
We’d like to be better than the Target impulse section. That’s the bar. We’re reaching for it. What we’re really saying is this: we want Aspire to be a *place* for you — not just an appointment on your calendar that you negotiate with like it owes you something.
You know that feeling when you walk into somewhere and your whole body goes, *“oh yeah, this is mine”*? Maybe it’s a coffee shop where they already know your order. Maybe it’s a friend’s living room where you can kick your shoes off. Maybe it’s, dare we say, a gym where people actually know your name and cheer for you like you just won the Super Bowl because you finally hit that goal you’ve been chasing for months.
That’s what we’re building at Aspire
A place where the coach remembers that you hate burpees (who doesn’t), but does them with you anyway because he/she hates them too and misery loves company. A place where you walk in stressed about your day and walk out having completely forgotten what you were even stressed about because your legs are too tired to carry the emotional baggage. A place where the women around you are showing up for themselves, and somehow that makes you want to show up for yourself too.
It’s contagious in the best possible way. Like laughing. Or yawning. Or buying something just because the person next to you in the aisle picked it up first.
We’re not trying to be a gym
Gyms are fine. Gyms have treadmills and fluorescent lighting and people who grunt at their own reflection. That’s not us. We’re trying to be a *community* — one that just happens to come with barbells, accountability, and the occasional workout that makes you question your life choices in the most empowering way possible.
Because when Aspire becomes your number three, something shifts. Your week has a rhythm. You have something to look forward to that isn’t the weekend or a vacation six months away. You have people rooting for you on a Tuesday afternoon. And honestly? That’s kind of a big deal.
So yes — we want to be your number three. Right after “home” and “work.” Before Netflix, and definitely before that one weird hobby you keep almost starting. We’re not asking to be your whole life. Just a really good, really consistent, really sweaty part of it.
Love,
*Your Aspire for Women Team*
