Fitness has always been part of my life, but for years I pursued it on my own through outdoor activities and independent gym workouts. Over time, I discovered I really enjoyed the energy, accountability and camaraderie of working out with a group.
In June 2024, a knee injury sidelined me and led to months of physical therapy. By December, my knee was slowly improving while the rest of my body had lost strength and conditioning. That is when I found Aspire.
Aspire turned out to be the best of both worlds, a supportive group atmosphere combined with the individualized attention of knowledgeable trainers who truly see each person as an individual. They helped me safely rebuild my strength while taking my injury, my goals, and my overall health into account.
I knew that lasting results do not happen overnight. I committed to showing up twice a week and trusted the process. Instead of making drastic changes, I focused on small, sustainable improvements, especially increasing my protein intake. I honestly had no idea how much protein our bodies really need! In addition, I embraced being challenged. The trainers consistently pushed me in thoughtful, progressive ways that built my strength and confidence.
I have stuck with Aspire because the workouts are efficient taking an hour or less and deliver great results. The trainers are fun, encouraging and the members have created a warm, welcoming community.
Life’s big picture is what keeps me motivated. My job is relatively physical and I realize that maintaining a strong body will hopefully enable me to work longer in a job I truly enjoy. In addition, getting older does not get any easier, however, everyday life is so much easier when you feel strong, healthy, and capable.
