HERstory – Yolanda J.

Since taking my first steps, dance had been an integral part of my life. Enrolled in dance classes at a young age, I embraced the art form with enthusiasm. As I grew older, my love for dance only deepened, leading me to pursue a minor in dance during my college years. Movement became the language through which I expressed myself, finding peace and comfort in every step.

As I embarked on my journey through medical school and residency, however, the demands of my education took precedence over dance. Time slipped away, and my physical fitness took a backseat. I found myself neglecting the very foundation that had nurtured me for so long.

It wasn’t until years later, after experiencing and recovering from professional burnout, that I sought to reclaim my connection to movement, improve my flexibility, and increase my strength. That’s when I discovered Aspire Personal Training for Women and the welcoming space that it provided.

Through the support of Coach Anthony and the Aspire community, I’ve returned to honoring my body, not just as a physician, but as an individual seeking alignment with my purpose.  I’ve embraced the belief that physical health is not a luxury, but a necessity.

Self-care and physical fitness are not selfish pursuits, but essential components of a fulfilling life. With Aspire, I’ve truly committed to being in the best shape for the rest of my life.  I’m so very grateful to have found this place.
