HERstory – CJ N.

For a good portion of my adult life I was an athlete. About 5 years ago my world turned upside down and I got “lifed on”. My health suffered under the weight of responsibilities and I turned to wine and chocolate to cope with my problems. I was stuck in very unhealthy habits. I came to Aspire because as I was slowly getting my nutrition back I wanted to get my physical health back as well.

Consistency and nutrition are my mantra. I make my health a priority right behind God and family. I can do very little for anyone else if I don’t take care of myself first. I might not “crush” every workout but I can suit up and show up for it.

Motivation comes and goes. But consistency is something that wins every time. However, it has been fun to see the changes mental, physically, and emotionally. As my health has returned I sleep better, I can handle stress better, I find joy in small things, I see life as a gift, and I get to workout with some pretty amazing women…not to mention my awesome trainer!

I’m devoting this next year to my mental health and I will continue to work with Aspire on my physical strength. I’m an older mom and want to stay fit and healthy for my younger children. I was gifted with an amazing life and enjoying it to the fullest is what I plan to do!
