HERstory – Kathy T.

I found Aspire for Women just as I had turned 60. I decided that I didn’t want to be a little old lady, with no balance or muscle mass, who fell and broke her hip! My husband and I are older parents and I wanted to be healthy enough as I aged to enjoy and participate in our family activities and vacations.

Buying into the process has been the key to my success.  It may sound cliche but I truly am focusing on consistency and not perfection. I eventually realized that the number on the scale was only one view of my journey and when life happened, which it always does, I didn’t throw in the towel. I simply started being consistent again with my workouts and recommitted to working on my nutrition.  I didn’t realize nutrition and water intake play such a huge role in my health but they do!

The support of my very active/athletic family and the coaches at Aspire have kept me moving forward. They never give up on me and help push me to get out of my own way on my health and fitness journey.

Five years have passed since joining Aspire for Women. I’m more dedicated to increasing my strength, balance, and maintaining my nutrition and I am well on the way to being the healthiest version of myself…EVER!
